A note from the maker
We only ever know someone through the lens of who we are at the time.

When my mom was the age I am now, I was ten. She cooked, cleaned, shopped, drove us to practice, and loved us endlessly. I saw her as mom, not as a longtime friend would, and not as she saw herself.
I wanted a different lens, a way to see the world through my mom’s eyes instead of mine. And I want my kids to have that lens someday, for her and for me, because there’s so much more to me than being their mom. I want them to know us through that lens as they grow and live through life’s phases themselves.
The questions here help your loved one look back on the different versions of themselves; the book carries those precious moments forward.
It started with my mom. But everyone has someone like her. If this helps you see even one person through their own eyes, it was worth building.
